NDA Visual Standards

Uncorrected Vision 6/6 (Better Eye) & 6/9 (Worse Eye)
Corrected Vision 6/6 in both eyes with glasses
Myopia Limit -0.75 D (Including cylinder)
Hypermetropia Limit +1.5 D (Including cylinder)
Lasik Surgery Strictly NOT allowed for NDA candidates (under 20 years). Allowed only for certain post-graduation entries.
Flat Foot (Pesh Planus)

SSB Verdict: Permanent Rejection if rigid; Temporary if flexible and trainable.

Corrective Remedy: Walk barefoot on sand, practice towel scrunches using toes, and perform arch-building exercises like tennis ball rolls under the foot. Wear custom arch support insoles.

Knock Knees (Genu Valgum)

SSB Verdict: Permanent Rejection if distance between internal malleoli exceeds 4 cm.

Corrective Remedy: Perform daily butterfly stretches, side-lying leg lifts, sumo squats, and sleep with a thick pillow between your knees to align joints.

Deviated Nasal Septum (DNS)

SSB Verdict: Temporary Rejection. Candidates are given 42 days to undergo corrective action.

Corrective Remedy: A minor surgical procedure called Septoplasty solves the issue. Candidates must complete it and undergo fitness check-up post 4 weeks of surgery.

Sweating Palms (Palmar Hyperhidrosis)

SSB Verdict: Temporary Rejection due to nervous system overactivity.

Corrective Remedy: Practice deep breathing and stress management. Use prescription antiperspirants containing aluminum chloride, or undergo iontophoretic tap water therapy.

Ear Wax Accumulation

SSB Verdict: Temporary Rejection on Day 1 medical check.

Corrective Remedy: Visit a registered ENT specialist to clean ears safely using micro-suction or syringing before reporting to the SSB Board.
